Role description: Our Apprenticeship programme offers you an exciting opportunity to jump straight into the professional world and earn a living whilst also studying for professional qualifications.
As an Apprentice you will play an active part in driving your career development and will be exposed to a variety of projects across the business.
Technical experience is key in our sector, which is why we will provide you with a clear framework to work towards chartership.
You'll be part of a supportive Early Careers community and will work alongside skilled professionals.
You'll benefit from structured on-the-job training, mentoring, plus funding and support for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the assistance you need to develop and succeed.
Role accountabilities: The Apprentice Lean Consultant plays a key role in supporting the Lean and Continuous Improvement strategy within the Highways and Transportation.
Working closely with the Lean Improvement team, the apprentice actively contributes to refining and implementing improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
They are intricately involved in supporting Lean projects, participating in Lean assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement activities.
By engaging directly with the Lean Improvement team and other stakeholders, the apprentice gains practical experience in lean methodologies and contributes significantly to achieving the sector's efficiency goals.
This dynamic role offers an enriching opportunity for hands-on involvement in shaping lean practices and fostering a culture of operational excellence within the organization.
On this apprenticeship you will complete the Level 4 Improvement Practitioner standard through our agreed training provider Hawk Training.
This will be delivered on a day release basis Qualifications & Experience: Have gained a minimum of 5 GCSE qualifications, grade 4-9 Including Maths and English.
And 3 A-Levels or equivalent qualifications at BBC minimum or Level 3 BTEC National Diploma at DMM minimum.
Be a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years prior to starting the course and have the right to work in the UK 18 (Level 6) years old and have left full time education when the apprenticeship starts You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
