About the role It is exciting times here at Churchill Retirement Living and due toour bold growth plans we are recruiting for an Apprentice Land Buyer to jointhe Land team in our Southwest region based in Ringwood.You will be an integral part of the regional landteam, gaining an understanding of the entire process of land acquisition andour requirements within your first few months.?You will be responsible for researching towns andtaking a proactive approach to identifying suitable land opportunities from avariety of sources.
Alongside the Land Buyers and Manager you will visit ourtarget towns, meet with Land Owners and Agents to explore the viability ofsites.
You will also assist with site appraisals and valuations.
?Excitingly you have the opportunity to be involved inthe whole process and build your knowledge and understanding of LandAcquisitions, seeing your sites progress through the due diligence process tocontract exchange and legal completion.
?Whilst working with us we will fund you throughSurveying Technician apprenticeship.
To help develop your knowledge ofconstruction and provide the skills you will need to set you up for success,this apprenticeship includes working experience in our Commercial, Design,Technical and Construction Departments.?The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 9am to5.30pm and Fridays are 9am to 5pm.
What Qualification do I get?
On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will gain the following qualifications:? Surveying Technician Level 3 apprenticeshipBTEC level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment ? What opportunities are there for progression?
Aftergaining your level 3 apprenticeship there is an opportunity to further yourstudies with an HNC or Degree apprenticeship in Real Estate Management.Career progression paths would be to a Land Buyer,Land Manager then Land Director.About you This is a busy and varied support role.
To be successful you will need: Good communication skills and the ability to develop strong and positive working relationships with both colleagues and external suppliersExcellent time management and organisation skillsHigh standard of verbal and written EnglishSelf motivated, enthusiastic and reliable, with a strong work ethicHigh attention to detail and able to work with accuracyA basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookA willingness to learn and develop ?Upon joining the programme you will need the following qualifications: GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4/5) EssentialGCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4/5) EssentialGCSE or equivalent in Geography would be an advantage?
