Fitters are essential to the smooth operation of our business, ensuring machinery runs effectively, breakdowns are swiftly managed, and ideas for improvement are implemented.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete our Professional Maintenance Development Programme, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to excel in this field.

Role Responsibility In this role, you will: Work on heavy machinery, ensuring manufacturing plants are safe, functional, and efficient.
Complete daily maintenance to a high standard.
Conduct mechanical and health and safety tests to ensure systems are reliable.
Manage site breakdowns by identifying and repairing faults.
Suggest innovative ideas to enhance production efficiency.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, prioritising safety in all tasks.
Tackle tasks both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in dusty or confined spaces – full protective equipment and safety support will always be provided.

Educational Requirements GCSEs A-C (9-4) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
