Job summary The Christie School of Oncology is looking for a motivated colleague to join our dedicated team.The post holder must be *eligible to undertake and complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration whilst developing the skills and confidence to provide quality administrative support as a member of The Christie School of Oncology.
The role will provide the opportunity to work closely with a variety of teams within The School of Oncology to maximise personal development, increased competence and skills and knowledge of our different functions.

Job description Job responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Administration & Coordination Be the first point of contact (telephone, direct and written) within the team.
Responding to queries in a professional, timely and customer-focused manner.
Provide support for the day-to-day administration.
Ensure confidentiality is always maintained adhering to Trust Policies and Christie Values Skills to be developed: Support the School of Oncology in contacting speakers to confirm agenda times as instructed and collate speaker presentations.
Prepare learning materials for courses.
Secure and book suitable facilities for meetings and training sessions Collate and input evaluation data for training.
Provide practical support for training and induction sessions.
Ability and willingness to develop a working knowledge of electronic systems including email, Microsoft packages, electronic diary management and NHS systems.
Develop and Maintain Accurate Records Input data into electronic systems, eLearning systems and maintain accurate records as instructed.
Communication Frequent phone, face to face and email communication is required to liaise with various colleagues and customers.
Contribute to, and maintain, a positive working team environment.
Skills to be developed: Represent The Christie School of Oncology at various events to provide excellent administrative support and customer service.
Attend and contribute to team meetings supporting minute taking when required, issuing agendas and following up actions as directed.
Marketing and Social Media Skills to be developed: Editing and sharing of information materials using set and branded templates.
Support monitoring/updating of relevant School of Oncology social media.
Support and monitor internal School of Oncology webpages on HIVE to ensure accuracy and maximise engagement.
General General office administration including photocopying, faxing, and filing.
Communicate with all colleagues in a professional, clear and concise manner.
Take telephone queries relating to any events or programmes and inform appropriate personnel as required and in a timely manner.
Work flexibly to support the needs of the School of Oncology.
Meet and greet attendees and speakers at School of Oncology events.
Undertake identified administrative tasks commensurate with this role.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Willing to study English and Maths to a minimum of Level 2 (if not held) Desirable GCSE Grades A* - C/ 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent Experience Essential Prioritising and managing busy workload Desirable Experience of working in Education and or with learners Experience of working within an administrative environment Skills Essential Effective written and verbal communication skills Effective organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
