Job summary There are 7 Radiology Departments across United Lincolnshire Hospital's NHS Trust, offering MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Dexa, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy and Interventional services.We perform over 300k examinations per year providing a 24 hour service for emergency procedures.
The departments carry out a wide range of procedures including plain film radiography, barium studies, A/E Trauma, IVU's, theatre, dental and interventional fluoroscopy.
The MRI, CT and Ultrasound departments are constantly developing and expanding their service provision.Note: This vacancy will have a start date after 01/05/2025 Main duties of the job Suitable applicants will undertake duties within the appointments and Reception teams based at Lincoln County Hospital moving to the newly built community diagnostic center in the middle of the city late 2024.
The successful applicant will join the team of Administration clerks in appointing investigations , liaising with patients, clinicians and Radiology clinical staff.
Appointments will be scheduled to ensure there are no breaches of waiting times, using the Radiology Information System (RIS), inputting data and informing patients and clinicians of appointment dates and times.
Reception duties will including welcoming patients into the department and attending them for their Radiology appointment; in addition to answering any queries.

Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area.
It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area.
It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire.
Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Person Specification Qualifications Essential GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification) OR NVQ Level 2 in relative subject, Customer Care skills or Administration (or equivalent qualification) Desirable CLAIT or European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent Previous Experience Essential Experience of working in a customer care or reception environment Desirable Knowledge or experience of NHS working Knowledge, Skills & Aptitudes Essential Be accurate and pay attention to detail in work produced Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise and organise own workload Good data entry/keyboard skills Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework Desirable Understanding of NHS waiting times Targets Experience of Health Records, Outpatients and Waiting List Understanding of booking systems, maintaining diaries Specific Requirements Essential Ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to main confidentiality Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
