You will be front line with the clients and customers and running projects from concept to delivery.
You must have a technical understanding and a engineering background industrial automation - PLC - SERVO DRIVES - MOTION CONTROL - industrial & machinery automation and motion application & support.
The Role: - Provision of technical support to existing customers via multiple media channels - Support and training of in-house and external applications engineers.
- Enabling communication between customers and development (R&D) teams - Production of technical documentation and communications - Work with customers to create world-class technical solutions using Trio products - Work closely with our R&D throughout the product development cycle, to ensure product needs align with our customer feedback - Responsibilities may require domestic and international travel Training will be given in areas which are new to the applicant.
- Experience using stand-alone automation systems; e.g.
PLC or Motion Controller.
- Knowledge of a programming language; for example C, BASIC, Python.
- Programming with the standard IEC61131-3 languages.
- Application and configuration of Industrial Robots.
- Servo and/or Stepper drives and motors.
- Using real-time deterministic networks, e.g.
EtherCAT, Sercos, CanOpen, Profinet RT.
- Programming and configuration of touch-screen HMIs - Practical experience of electrical interfacing between devices in an automation system.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Training will be given in areas which are new to the applicant.
- Degree or similar higher qualification in Software/Mechatronics/Electronics or related discipline.
- Worked on interfacing automation hardware; e.g.
sensors, actuators, drives and motors.
- A background in communications using serial, Ethernet and similar media.
- Experienced in programming industrial automation / manufacturing machines Having a thorough working knowledge and experience of 3 or more of the following will be beneficial: - Implementing and commissioning stand-alone automation computers; e.g.
PLC or Motion Controller.
- Good knowledge of a high level programming language; for example C, BASIC, Python.
- PLC programming, preferably using the standard IEC61131-3 environment.
- Electrical interfacing between a controller and sensors/actuators in an automation system.
- Servo drives and brushless servo motors.
- Stepper motors and drives.
- Ethernet networks, protocols and topology.
- A working knowledge of PCs running Windows.
- Basic level of Windows / Linux application programming.
- Real-time deterministic networks, e.g.
EtherCAT, Sercos, CanOpen, Profinet RT.
- Application and configuration of Industrial Robots.
- Programming and configuration of touch-screen HMIs Applicants should be a team player and be able to communicate effectively in English.
They must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK.
A full driving licence is required and applicants must be eligible to obtain business visas for USA/Canada, China and India as some foreign travel may be necessary.
