Paxton & Whitfield is seeking a dynamic and results-driven eCommerce & Marketing Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective online marketing strategies to drive sales through our Shopify Plus eCommerce platform & support the growth of the business across all sales channels.
The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for eCommerce & marketing.
Responsibilities Acquisition Marketing - Using Google Adwords to optimise our paid search campaigns.
- Working with affiliate partners (PPC, SEO, Affiliate, PR) to drive new customer growth.
- A:B testing social selling campaigns.
- Growing our email marketing lists.
- Liaising with strategic partners to establish co-branded acquisition campaigns and driving new channels for customer acquisition.
Retention Marketing - Harnessing our email and mailing database to drive repeat purchases – from triggered email campaigns, to printed catalogue mailings.
- Launching our first loyalty program and overseeing growth in online cheese subscriptions.
Closely monitoring our customer experience using the NPS score and customer reviews.
Brand Marketing - Owning the Paxton & Whitfield brand guidelines and ensuring that these and the Royal Warrantrules are adhered to across the organisation.
- Ensuring that all consumer touchpoints have an experience that fully represents the Paxton & Whitfield brand.
- Overseeing social media posts, PR plans and content production.
E-commerce - Managing our new eCommerce platform on Shopify Plus and the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of this.
- Working closely with our web agency and focusing on increasing our Average Order Value and Conversion Rate, as well as organic search optimisation.
- Use Google and Shopify Analytics to report results and insights across the business.
Planning & Strategy - Overseeing the marketing budget and closely tracking marketing spend.
- Defining and communicating the marketing calendar.
- Collaborating with the buying team to forecast sales and closely working with the MD and Management Team to set the overall marketing strategy.
- Working in close partnership with the buying team to devise new, seasonal product propositions.
Compliance & Operations - Ensuring legal compliance of campaigns with all relevant policies e.g.
GDPR, PCI, Age Verification and UK competition laws.
Qualifications - Passionate about artisan cheese - Demonstrable experience of managing a Shopify website, in a SME retail business.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GA4 and Klaviyo.
- Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), with the ability to write compelling copy.
- Demonstrable ability to work with third party agencies to deliver complex projects and/or achieve business goals - Ability to troubleshoot and manage website issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
