- Application Analyst / Applications Support Analyst -Glasgow ( Hybrid ) -Excellent Salary & Benefits Package -ASAP Start Market-Leading client in the midst of a period of growth due to huge investment, are looking to bolster their Global IT team with a skilled Application Analyst to support and deliver services in an evolving business environment.
The role will require establishing and building of strong relationships with both IT and business stakeholders to understand the support requirements and how the internal systems operate.
You will be a significant contributor to the team's IT success, supporting and delivering applications and collaborating directly with other IT functions of the business.
You will work across multiple teams, supporting and managing internal applications, as well as identifying and solving issues and suggesting a pathway for future improvements.
Candidates who are proactive and dedicated are preferred, as is someone who will challenge the status quo.
Role Requirements Identify, track and resolve application problems on a day-to-day basis, including evening and weekend support, as required.
Responsible for the application environments to support unit, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Establish strong relationships with stakeholders to understand and prioritise issues.
Create specifications, process/data maps and use cases.
Work with other Analysts on designing and operating data interfaces and APIs.
Work with IT team, vendors and other departments.
Administer procedures for application use and security access; monitoring KPIs and gathers performance metrics.
Create and update application support documentation.
Work with Analytics team in identifying table relationships and data behaviour to improve data quality within the data warehouse.
Develop reports and dashboards to assist in identifying KPIs and data trends.
Skills & Experience (A blend of) Experience of providing 2nd level operational support for large business applications across the full application lifecycle and co-ordinating application deployments.
Sound SQL querying experience and experience with report/dashboard writing software, such as Power BI is highly beneficial.
Must be adaptable, with the ability to learn and understand internal business systems and make suggestions for improvement.
Results-driven, with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with minimum guidance or prompting.
Proactive, dependable and positive attitude.
