Application Support Engineer

Job DescriptionApplication Support Engineer required.
My client is a leading software company based in Crowborough.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of 25 people.
You will be working on a bespoke & evolving software package, therefore they are looking for candidates who have 2nd Line Support Experience and a quick learner to build their knowledge of the software package.
Position overview You will be responsible for dealing with client's questions and technical issues both via telephone and email.
You will be hands-on and experienced with Software Application Support and will have the ability to pick up new systems quickly as theirsoftware is constantly being updated and developed.Liaising with clients / customers over the phoneEnsure our clients systems runs smoothly and all issues are resolved as soon as possible.Receiving, logging and resolving IT issues To ensure that all software systems, procedures and processes are effectively documented to agreed standardsLiaise with external suppliers of software / hardware systems and other specialist teamsUndertake system administration tasks Position requirements Experience in a similar role or as a 2nd Line support TechnicianFull UK Driving LicenseExperience working in SoftwareSQL Experience would be an advantageHave a passion for learning new skills and enjoy working within a teamFriendly but professional in your approach Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Position Remuneration Monday to Friday 9am – 17:30pm.Salary £22,000 – 28,000 DOE25 days holiday including bank holidaysPension SchemeGenuine opportunity to enhance their skills to build a successful career in a software company
