Application Support Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Application Support Analyst to join our team in Bolton.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in a service desk environment who is skilled in troubleshooting, resolving issues within SLA targets, and providing high-quality support across business applications.
You will work closely with internal teams and end-users to ensure that application-related issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

Act as the main point of contact for application-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
Monitor and manage support tickets, escalating complex cases when required.
Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions.
Document issues and resolutions thoroughly, maintaining accurate records in the service management system.
Support Office 365 applications, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting user issues.
Conduct regular application maintenance, updates, and testing to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with data analysis and reporting, utilising SQL, Excel, and Power BI where applicable.
Have you got what it takes: Proven experience in a service desk or similar IT support role.
Strong understanding of SLAs and experience working within SLA frameworks to meet service targets.
Proficiency with Office 365, including troubleshooting and support.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
Basic SQL knowledge for querying and troubleshooting data-related issues (desirable).
Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis (desirable).
Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualisation (desirable).
Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (e.g., ITIL) are advantageous.
