Role: Application AnalystLocation: Milton Keynes (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office) Reporting to: Business Systems Manager The Role The Product Development team plays a pivotal role in delivering the overall digital experience for customers, consumers and colleagues underpinning the Rightmove business.

We work collaboratively across a mix of product and centralised teams, together working towards Rightmove's strategy.
The Application Analyst is a key member of the Internal Operations Team, delivering digital solutions to support Rightmove's internal teams.
As part of one of our SCRUM product teams, the Application Analyst collaborates with the Product Owner, Software Engineers and QA Engineers to analyse business challenges, design and implement technical solutions.
This role focuses on understanding processes, addressing business needs, and delivering solutions through the configuration of business applications—both third-party and in-house developed by Rightmove—along with creating low-code solutions.
Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the Application Analyst works closely with other application and platform engineers, Product Owners, Architects, and Operations team members to ensure effective delivery and alignment with Rightmove's broader business objectives.
A typical week as an Application Analyst might involve Engaging with Rightmove's teams to identify challenges and opportunities, exploring how your technology delivery capabilities can drive innovative solutions.
Collaborating with your product team—including the Product Owner, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Application Analysts —to discuss business challenges and develop effective solutions.
Partnering with the Finance Systems Manager and NetSuite Systems Manager to share insights, foster collaboration, and implement best practices across your respective domains.
Providing regular updates to your product team and end users, ensuring continuous feedback to refine and enhance the solutions you are delivering.
Crafting SQL queries to modify data within Rightmove's business applications, supporting initiatives like launching new products or pricing models.
Configuring and implementing change within third-party ERP and billing systems to align with long-term commercial objectives and strategic initiatives.
Utilising the UiPath Robotic Process Automation platform to design and implement solutions that automate manual tasks across the organization.
Developing low-code business process applications to streamline and manage internal processes effectively.
Supporting sprint goals by assisting with the testing of work completed by Software Engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

What you'll bring to the role Essential A background in customising and enhancing third party systems (such as ERP, CRM or HRIS) A proven track record of learning new technologies?and applying them effectively Intermediate to advanced skills in tools such as Microsoft Excel or Access A working level of understanding of SQL Experience learning how a software platform works and using that knowledge to deliver change Confidence manipulating and extracting insight from large datasets Ideally Has?a history of?improving internal processes and driving operational efficiency Understands BPMN and can effectively implement workflows to optimise business processes Has experience configuring and optimising ERP systems, such as Oracle NetSuite or SAP Can build automations using tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Blue Prism Has experience of using collaborations tools such as Confluence and JIRA or similar Has previously worked in an Agile or Scrum team About RightmoveOur vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move.
