Job Description We are seeking several API & Microservices Software Development Engineers to join our Digital Tribe.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn new technologies and help shape the digital future.
You will be part of our Information Technology & Transformation function based in Leeds, with the capability to work from home.
As an API/Microservices Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and testing software that delivers value to customers.
Your responsibilities will include: Delivering APIs and Java Spring Boot Microservices that support our digital platforms.
Implementing automated build pipelines and enhancing monitoring capabilities.
Participating in and leading peer reviews of documentation, code, unit tests, and integration testing.
Collaborating with tech leads, architects, analysts, scrum masters, and product owners for impact analysis and requirement estimation.
Ensuring system design meets current standards and is suitable for present and future architecture needs.
Providing out-of-hours support for services and APIs.
Requirements Experience with Java and Spring .
Strong knowledge of modern technologies and platforms used in digital applications.
Desirable skills include: RESTful Design and experience with API Gateway products.
Containers and Container Orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Continuous Integration Pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
