Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse to join our small anticoagulation specialist team, working full-time or part-time hoursThe James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of around 230,000 people in the Great Yarmouth Lowestoft and Waveney areas.
Main duties of the job This is a key role carrying a level of responsibility along with a demanding workload and great opportunity.
The successful candidate will: Provide a Nurse Led Anticoagulation Service offering advice and expertise within the area of anticoagulation.
To provide a prescribing and advisory service for all oral and parenteral anticoagulants for inpatients and outpatients To provide advice on all areas of anticoagulation therapy to colleagues and clients To provide advice on all areas of Thromboprophylaxis to colleagues within the TrustFor further details / informal visits contact:Matron - Radu Segarceanu Telephone number 01493 452878 About us It is an exciting opportunity for an independent Nurse prescriber to join our nurse team working either full-time or part-time hours.

We are looking for an NMC registered independent prescriber with experience in anticoagulation therapy preferred but not essential as you will be supported with training and education.Patient and staff experience is important to us and these are the behaviours we live by: Putting patients first Aiming to get it right Recognising that everybody counts.

Person Specification Education qualifications Essential NMC registered Holds independent Nurse prescriber certificate Degree or diploma in nursing Desirable Management/team leading qualification Experience and Knowledge Essential Relevent post registration experience Desirable Experience in anticoagulation dosing Management experience and/or experience of leading a team Skills, abilities Essential Broad Knowledge base Ability to demonstrate evidence of applying theory to practice Ability to lead and work effectively within a team Good interpersonal skills which engender effective working relationships with staff Accurate document presentation and attention to detail with good IT skills Other Essential Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
