We have a great opportunity to work on an exciting and challenging antenna development program within MBDA.
Job Title : Requirements Engineer Salary : Circa £50,000 depending on experience Location : Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role) Dynamic (hybrid) working : 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity: Join our Seeker and Datalink Systems team as an Antenna Design Engineer!
You'll engage in computer modelling, prototype build and test, and collaborate with suppliers, presenting results to project stakeholders.

Your role will involve: Detailed design of novel antennas for multi-mode seekers based on wideband active and passive sensors, exploiting the latest development in additive layer manufacturing.
Developing solutions to support higher level product developments considering constraints such as limited space and harsh operating environments Electromagnetic modelling in Ansys HFSS, complex simulations of antenna structures and post-processing data using MATLAB Overseeing the transition of development hardware into production Working cross-functionally with RF Engineers, Seeker Systems teams, EO & IR Sensors teams among others Seeking a skilled Antenna Design Engineer with expertise in development for manufacture.
Proficiency in computer modeling using 3D electromagnetic simulators like Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave is essential.
Additional experience in RCS test and measurement is advantageous.
Strong coding abilities in MATLAB are also a plus What we're looking for from you: Antenna design experience Electromagnetic simulation experience (using tools like HFSS or CST Studio) Knowledge of microwave frequencies (ideally UHF and frequencies in excess of X-band) Degree or higher level qualification Excellent communication skills While not essential, it would be beneficial if you had hands on experience in the lab environment, using test equipment and the use of an anechoic chamber Interested?
