Antenna Design Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and committed Antenna Design Engineer to join our innovative team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with Antenna design and/or power electronics experience to deliver services for a Space programme.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, model, and analyse a variety of antenna types, including feed antennas, dielectric lenses, antenna arrays (phased, transmitarrays, reflectarrays), and radomes.- Design antennas for volume manufacturing and prototyping, ensuring designs are scalable and manufacturable.
Analyse simulation and measurement results using tools like Matlab, Octave, and Python.
Optimise antenna models using multi-objective stochastic optimizers to improve performance.
Assist with or lead prototype antenna measurements and testing.
Create comprehensive reports and presentations, documenting designs, simulations, measurements, and performance data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate antenna designs into larger systems.
Lead design reviews and provide technical leadership where needed, deputising for the Director as required.
SKILLS: Education: BEng, MEng, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in antenna design, modelling, and analysis, with a focus on dielectric lenses, antenna arrays, beam shaping, and radomes.
Antenna Design: Expertise in designing and modelling homogeneous and inhomogeneous dielectric lenses, phased arrays, transmitarrays, reflectarrays, and radome designs.
Electromagnetic Simulation: Proficiency in using 3D full-wave modelling software (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO).
Programming: Strong skills in Matlab, Python, or similar programming languages for data analysis and simulation.
RF Test Equipment: Familiarity with RF test equipment, including signal generators, spectrum analysers, and network analysers.
Linux: Comfortable working with Linux operating systems for simulation and analysis tasks.
Leadership: Ability to lead a team and take on a leadership role in project management and technical direction, deputising for the Director as needed.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimisation and performance enhancement.
