Animal Welfare Manager Location : Cinderford, Gloucestershire Salary: c£45,000 per annum Our client requires an Animal Welfare/Lairage Manager to be based at their Gloucester site, located in Cinderford, Gloucestershire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.
The Role Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for coordinating operations in the Lairage including animal welfare, receipt of animals, movement of animals, communication with farmers and haulers, organisation of staff and communication with Department staff on site.
For this key position with a strong emphasis on animal welfare they are seeking an individual who has in depth knowledge and experience in handling livestock in particular cattle.
The salary package for this role will reflect the importance of the position.
In the main the role will involve working Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 16:30 with up to and including 6 Saturday operations annually between September and December.
