Location - Bristol - 3 days a weekonsite Location - Bristol - 3 days a week onsite Duration - 3 Months Rate - £200 inside ir35 My client is looking for a Analytical Support Officer, someone to write pre-inspection briefings (PIBs) to support my client with enhanced inspections of colleges and designated institutions.
Enhanced inspections include reporting on how the college or designated institution is helping meet the skills needs in the area.
The process for writing enhanced inspection PIBs includes providing information on both the college and the area it operates in.
This involves reviewing information from various college documents such as their self-assessment report and accountability statement, as well as extracting information on courses taught at each campus.
We also look at news items to extract information on how they are working with employers, LAs and other education/training providers.
For the area information section, we look at information such as council priorities, regeneration projects and employment sectors for each LA.
We also provide information on any combined authorities and local skills improvement plans the LA is part of.
All this information is then combined into a cohesive briefing which helps the lead inspector get a detailed feel for the provider and the areas they operate in, as well as how they work with stakeholders to help meet the skills needs in their area.
Skills the person will need are: Good communication skills, especially written skills Ability to gather information from a wide range of sources and use it to write a cohesive briefing Good research skills and the ability to accurately extract a small number of key points from large documents Ability to use Excel for things like filtering, charts and pivot tables Please submit a copy of your latest CV for more information on this vacancy.
