Job summary: H&J Martin Asset Management Services (part of the Lagan Specialist Contracting Group) is now recruiting for a Skilled Joiner.
Company: H&J Martin AMSJob Type: Full Time, PermanentLocation: Derry/Londonderry Role Overview The candidate will work as part of the Minor Works Team taking on all new projects throughout Northern Ireland.
They will be responsible for undertaking various jobs, working as part of a joinery team and providing excellent services to our high-profile customers.
Please be advised that H&J Martin may seek security clearances for this position, which will be used in the decision-making process.
What you'll doThe following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive: Work on minor works projects carrying out general joinery duties such as, doors and ironmongery, flooring, metal and timber stud partitions, suspended ceilings and other 1st and 2nd fix work Utilise and update the company Mobile Management Information Systems for all work.
To be proactive in managing and undertaking work and be client focused in the delivery of the work.
Representing the company in a competent and professional manner.
Responsible for implementation of company Health & Safety Policy, Rules and Quality Assurance procedures.
Proactive approach to delivering projects in an efficient and effective manner.
High standard of housekeeping, material handling and safety at all times.
Other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Supervisor.
What you'll bring As a Skilled Joiner your main skills and experience will include: Essential Criteria: Able to demonstrate relevant joinery qualifications or training e.g.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in joinery Significant relevant experience carrying out general joinery duties detailed in Key Duties above.
A good attention to detail Significant relevant experience of using power hand tools to carry out functions of the role Experience working as part of a joinery team to complete projects.
Have excellent knowledge of safe and effective working Have great communication skills Be able to work on your own initiative with a flexible and problem-solving approach Able to read and understand drawings.
Desirable Criteria: Hold a relevant valid CSR Card Possess a valid, clean driving license Plant and access equipment cards e.g.
Forklift license, PASMA, IPAF Card
