Role OverviewDue to the continued success and growth of our Asset Management Services (AMS) division, we currently have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Assistant.
As a health and safety assistant, you will use your knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture and provide H&S support on our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.You will ensure company employees and subcontractor workers fully comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, company health and safety policy and ensure industry good practices are adopted and adhered to.???????What you'll doThe following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive: Support operational teams across the business, including development and review of construction phase plans and site safety control registers.
Provide health & safety assistance on sites in support of operational teams, ensure working practices on sites are safe and comply with legislation.
What you'll bringAs a Health & Safety Assistant your main skills and experience will include: Essential Criteria: Demonstrable experience working in the Construction and (or) Facilities Management industry.
Qualification in a relevant subject related to construction health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate) or equivalent qualifications/experience.
Full Driving License.
Desirable Criteria:It would be desirable that candidates could demonstrate the following skills and attributes for this new role: The National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety - delivered by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
Membership of appropriate accredited industry body, e.g., IOSH (Technical or Grad IOSH).
The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual.
