The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking various planned maintenance and reactive tasks and providing excellent services to our high profile customers.
They will be focused on driving compliance and quality standards upwards within the industry marketplace.
What you'll doThe following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:- Perform planned maintenance activities to include condition reports on a wide range of automated equipment.
Perform fault diagnosis/repair tasks on a wide range of automated equipment.
Carry out the installation and commissioning of automated systems including pedestrian doors, pedestrian and vehicle gates, traffic barriers and roller shutters.
What you'll bringAs a Door & Gate Engineer your main skills and experience will include: Have a recognised trade/technical qualification in electrical or mechanical discipline.
Have relevant experience in the repair, maintenance or installation of Automatic Door or Gate Systems or similar types of equipment Be able to demonstrate electrical competency Have and maintain a clean valid driving licence Have the ability to read and understand technical drawings and literature.
Have a proven ability to use mobile technology and be good with paperwork.
Be a good communicator both with clients and own team Desirable Criteria: Be able to demonstrate competence in Automatic Gate or Automatic/Industrial Door safety standards by evidence of having undertaken relevant training / certification and by demonstrating enthusiasm for improving workmanship/compliance standards.
