Job Description Job Title: AML & Conflicts Assistant - 6 month FTC \n Salary: up to £29,000 \n Location: Birmingham \n Bell Cornwall Recruitment are pleased to be hiring for an AML & Conflicts Assistant - 6 month FTC for a fantastic business in Birmingham.
The company specialises in law and have offices all over the world.
They are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running and join their ever growing team.
\n The Candidates responsibilities: \n \n Analysing proposed matters, matter files and ensuring SRA rules are applied correctly.
\n Completing checks and searches on conflict and confidentiality.
\n Identifying where conflict issues may arise and an concerns regarding them.
\n Analysing and examining any complex information and ensuring feedback is given to the corresponding fee earners and partners.
\n Carrying out Due Diligence and AML (Anti Money Laundering) checks for all kinds of individuals or corporates e.g.
trusts, partnerships, foundations and general individuals.
\n Applying protocols where necessary to cross jurisdictional conflicts.
\n Navigating systems that fall outside of the UK.
\n General admin that would relate to the role.
\n \n Skills Needed: \n \n Previous experience in a similar role is necessary ( a minimum of 2/3 years) \n Knowledge of SRA rules is essential.
\n Someone from a legal background, financial services, banking or processional services would be ideal.
\n \n \n Confidence in identifying any issues with the ability to resolve them effectively and efficiently.
\n \n \n Knowledge of Microsoft, general IT and email/internet knowledge is necessary.
\n \n \n Be confident when it comes to decision making and taking on any queries.
