ALN Learning Support Assistant Salary: £12.90 per hour Location: Pembroke Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends) Closing Date: Wednesday 4 th December Teaching Personnel are looking for an ALN Learning Support Assistant to work in one of our partner schools in the Pembroke area.
The school is a secondary school that has a centre that specialises in supporting children with additional learning needs.
The school provide excellent levels of support to the their pupils and create a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
Responsibilities of an ALN Learning Support Assistant Supervise and provide support for pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of pupils.
Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
Promote self-esteem and independence.
Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teacher on pupils' progress.
Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtime.
