Support Worker
Almond Care is an award winning, specialist, UK provider of complex care in the home; working with adults and children to support them in leading an independent lifestyle of their choice.
We are recruiting for Support Workers within Nuneaton.
Previous experience with caring and supporting individuals who have complex needs such as Brain Injury, Learning Difficulties, Mental Health, Behaviours that challenge, and Epilepsy is preferred, however is not essential as full training will be provided along with support from Experienced Support Staff, our Management Team and our On Call Support Team.
Support Staff will be issued with a Training that they need to ensure that they have the right knowledge and skills.
Shifts consist of
Days 8am to 8pm
Responsibilities of a Support Worker To care for and support individuals with a person centered approach within their own home, and to enable the individual you support to access the community.
To promote independence when supporting individuals within their own home.
Assistance with personal care may be required for individual that you are supporting.
Administration of medication once training, and a medication competency is complete.
Assistance with food prep.
Assistance with moving and handling for those with limited abilities once training is complete.
Participate in domestic and household tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
Participate in accessing the community to complete activities with our clients.
Getting to know your client.
Discovering their interests, needs and providing companionship.
Create a safe and caring environment which meets the individual's needs.
Work in accordance with relevant Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements of a Support Worker To be caring and trustworthy.

Willingness to learn new skills and progress within the role you are undertaking.
Flexibility with shifts patterns, working hours and location.
