Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS England North East and Yorkshire All Age Continuing Care Team.
The role supports NHS Englandin driving transformation as well as ensuring value for money in planning, commissioning and service delivery by ICBs.
The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise, and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be an expert in NHS CHC and associated policies and will be able to communicate clearly and knowledgeably at a high level.

Job description Job responsibilities The post holder will also be highly experienced in all aspects of NHS Continuing Healthcare Independent Review Panel (IRP) work and the wider Continuing Healthcare agenda.
In addition, the postholder will be knowledgeable in Children and Young Peoples Continuing Care.
The post holder will engage stakeholders across the region in setting up IRPs, engagement on NHS Continuing Healthcare & Children Young Peoples Continuing Care Frameworks and delivery of sound decision making.
The postholder will also facilitate development work for the IRP Panel members and ICBs.
The postholder will work with the Regional Lead to support ICBs in providing assurance on CHC decision England has a flexible working policy.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Achieved Grade / Experience Experience Essential Educated to post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training within Adult CHC and CYP Continuing Care Extensive knowledge and working experience of the NHS Continuing Healthcare and CYP Continuing Care Frameworks Desirable Current registration with appropriate professional body Skills and Capabilities Essential In depth understanding of the role and purpose of the IRP function, enabling interpretation of complex and controversial policy.
Desirable Have experience of managing the IRP function Evidence of influencing and negotiation skills with key partners
