MPI have an exciting requirement for an Permanent Aircraft Structures Technician and/or Supervisor to work on site at RAF Brize Norton Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX.

This is a permanent position .
(there may be some negotiation on rates below dependent on experience & skills brought to the role)
If applying for the Supervisor role, the rate of pay is £40,515.21 per annum.

If applying for the Technician role, the rate of pay is £38,000 per annum.

Full time, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (7.30 – 17.00).
9-day fortnight (25 days stand down days per year).
25 days leave plus 8 bank holidays.

The bay is responsible for RAF Brize Norton C-17 aircraft airframe structural and composite repairs, metal fabrication, and damage assessments.
Work is carried out within the structures bay and on the aircraft, both in the hangar and on the line.
The team are required to work at height and in confined spaces on the C17 aircraft.

Main Accountabilities: Current working knowledge and experience of Aircraft Structural Metal rectification on aircraft and in the bay environment.
Including damage assessment, frame skin replacements, fuselage damage repairs, structural component changes, corrosion removal, manufacture of repair parts, drilling, countersinking, riveting, close tolerance work and bolting of replacement parts Competency to operate workshop machines and hand tools used in airframe structural work and metal repair.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, technical manuals, and work instructions.
Functional IT skills to access technical information and maintenance records Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate effectively with other team members and departments to ensure efficient work flow and high-quality output.
Ensure that all repairs and rectification tasks are correctly certified and that records of maintenance carried out are correct and complete.
Qualifications Working knowledge and experience of Aircraft Structural Metal rectification on aircraft and in the bay environment.
Will have successfully completed a recognised Civilian Engineering or Aviation BTEC/ONC/ NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, or military course in Aircraft Engineering.
Previous experience in Armed Forces or industry on aircraft engineering maintenance/ repair activities.
