You'll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.An exciting new position has become available at Cambridge Airport for an Air Traffic Services Assistant (ATSA) supporting the Air Traffic Controllers.The benefits we offer you will include:27 days holiday increasing with service up to 30 days (option to buy /sell)Pension contributions up to 9%Healthcare cash plan for you and your childrenExtensive flexible benefit program including Cycle to WorkLife assurance at 4x basic salaryEnhanced parental leave and payPaid volunteering leaveAccess to industry leading wellbeing resources and toolsYour responsibilities in this role include:Assist the controllers to provide a safe, expeditious and orderly flow of aircraft movements.Post-employment they will be required to gain a Meteorological Observers qualification to enable them to prepare and disseminate meteorology observations and aeronautical information for the benefit of controllers and aircraft pilots.Pass information to other members of staff on Aircraft movements, Flight bookings, Royal Flights, Navigation warnings and other Airspace activity, and send flight plans and departure slot related messages to external agencies.In the event of an aircraft emergency, they will make 999 calls and follow the ATC Actions within the Airport Emergency Plan.Be required to participate in operating the Air Traffic Services simulator.QualificationsGCSE's/A Levels A-C desirableWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office.Good communication skills.UK driving licence desirableGood colour perception is also a requirement.Multitask and prioritise their work streams.About MarshallMarshall is an independent, family-owned UK company with a diverse portfolio of businesses and a shared commitment to keeping our customers moving forward.Whether that is supporting global armed forces to deliver mission-critical activities, keeping the UK distribution industry on the road, creating new sustainable communities where people can live and thrive, or developing the next generations of industry talent – we are incredibly proud to have been building extraordinary futures since 1909.
