37.5 hours per week | Mon – Fri | 09:00 to 17:30 | Hayes, London You will play a significant role in leading a team of 4 Air Freight Forwarding Agents, overseeing end-to-end Air freight operations with a specialised focus on life-sciences logistics.
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your supervisory skills, where you'll play a crucial role in developing your team, driving performance, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
You will report directly to our Operations Manager.
You will receive: A competitive annual salary 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension scheme - up to 8% employer contribution Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave Support with self-development and career opportunities Reward & Recognition awards Charity and volunteering support through DHL Foundation Your role as an Air Freight Team Leader: Coordinate the movement of pharmaceutical and medical goods across various transport modes, ensuring compliance with customer SOPs, temperature requirements, UK GDP regulations, and Customs Compliance Manage and build customer relationships, liaise with carriers, handling agents, transport, warehouse teams, and overseas offices to resolve issues and ensure smooth shipment planning Utilise the CargoWise system for shipment management, milestone tracking, and KPI measurement, ensuring accurate job file completion Utilise your leadership skills to support team development, leading team briefings and conducting staff training when required About you - you will have: Previous Air Freight experience with knowledge of export operations Proven experience as a supervisor or team leader, with the ability to lead a small team Experience of HMRC procedures (knowledge of CDS) An understanding of shipping within the life-sciences/medical industry (desirable) A high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and efficiently manage workload Experience in a fast-paced office environment with excellent customer relations skills
