Location: Kingston upon Hull, England HU7 0DG, United Kingdom Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Salary: £20 - 22 per hour, dependant on experience Role Overview The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems across the Sewell Facilities Management property portfolio.
This position includes managing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, covering general repairs and the upkeep of various systems such as splits, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, refrigerated display and storage cabinets.
Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager, the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Supervisor will lead the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration team, providing essential line management, support, and technical guidance.
Alongside supervising and mentoring the team, this role requires hands-on involvement in completing planned and reactive maintenance tasks to uphold high standards across all sites.

Act promptly to reactive maintenance requests from the Customer Care Team, ensuring swift, effective resolutions and maintaining high service standards across all managed properties.
Lead the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration team, providing guidance, support, and oversight.
Identify training needs, assist with personal development plans, and conduct regular performance reviews to enhance team performance and ensure skill development.
Maintain a safe, legally compliant work environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and ensuring the team does the same across all maintenance activities.
Manage and liaise with external contractors, coordinating their work as needed to meet business requirements, ensuring quality control and alignment with Sewell standards.
Participate in the on-call rota to address emergency callouts, providing reliable and timely responses to urgent issues.
Act as the primary point of contact with the Customer Care Team and clients, ensuring needs are fully met and that the team delivers efficient, high-quality service.
Maintain REFCOM registration and manage F-Gas registers across the estate, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Support the team in achieving optimal performance and quality by working alongside them as needed on planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and emergency tasks, adapting to meet evolving business needs.
Assist with compiling information for maintenance and repair quotations, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
Act as a key holder for Sewell properties and participate in relevant meetings to support operational objectives and contribute to decision-making as required.
Requirements As well as exhibiting our company behaviours of being Positive, Professional, Customer Focused, a Team Player and Doing the Right Thing, the successful candidates will have the following: Essential: Full driving license, valid in the UK Valid qualifications, i.e., Level 2 & 3 NVQ in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
F-Gas certification.
Previous experience in maintenance supervision, preferably within a similar industry or sector Possess a positive & professional attitude.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Proactive approach towards both planned and reactive maintenance.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with contractors.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise numerous tasks.
A positive approach to learning & development.
Possess a flexible outlook towards working hours (additional hours over basic contracted may be required).
Strong knowledge of current health & safety practices.
Desirable: First aid trained.
Knowledge of front-end BMS (building management systems).
Experience with plumbing & heating systems.
