Associated advice related to CQC and professional regulatory advice will also be required.The team plays an important role in DACB's broader Health practice, which is widely recognised as the leading strategic, commercial and regulatory legal adviser to the health and social care sector in the UK.Welcome to a supportive, collaborative environment, with flexibility, career growth, and the chance to work with leading local clients.Main ResponsibilitiesHandle a predominately inquest-based workload with an appropriate level of supervision.Act as a point of contact for clients, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience.Communicate effectively with a broad range of people including clients, regulators, courts and other stakeholders.Support marketing and business development activity within the team e.g.
attending marketing events and client training.Build an awareness of the Firm's other services and development of effective internal and external networks.Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.Exercise full compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control and demonstrate a high level of financial management in respect of own files.The Ideal CandidateA barrister or Associate with a demonstrable interest or previous experience in this practice area or related practice area.
We do not expect candidates to cover the full breadth of work undertaken by the team, but we do require a clear interest in inquest work and enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge relevant to the work we do.An enthusiastic and committed approach to inquest advocacy with a broader interest in our other work areas such as health and social care regulation, mental health law, serious medical treatment, and information governance.Advocacy experience Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
