Snowboard International is published by Water Board Media, an independent publisher with two highly successful existing print titles, TheKiteMag and Foiling Magazine.

When we're not in the office we're generally in the mountains or at the beach… Job Overview The Advertising Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new advertising clients and the retention of existing accounts.
The primary focus will be with onboarding snowboarding resorts for package options including web listings, social media exposure and bespoke in-resort video packages.
This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven record in sales in the snowboard, outdoor or travel markets, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition & Retention: Identify, prospect, and secure new advertising clients.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to develop long-term partnerships.
Liaising with Snowboard Resorts: Engage with snowboard resorts to explore advertising opportunities, promote their destinations, and create partnerships that benefit both the resorts and Snowboard International.
Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
Strategies will combine Print, Digital and Gear Test elements to ensure that advertisers are getting comprehensive coverage and exceptional value for their ad spend.
Develop sales and marketing packages and materials to offer prospective clients scalable options to begin working with Snowboard International Magazine.
Market Analysis: Identify trends, innovations and opportunities within the snowboarding industry.
Utilise insights to inform sales strategies and client pitches.
Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial, marketing, and design teams to create customised advertising solutions that meet client needs and align with the magazine's content.
Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to ensure targets are met.
Time Zone Management: Develop and maintain contacts in both Europe and the US, which may require working extended hours to accommodate different time zones.
(portfolio of global resorts across various time zones) Essential Requirements Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience of using sales CRMs to drive pipeline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in advertising sales, ideally within the outdoor/travel/snowboard industries.
