IPASS (The Integrated Pain and Spinal Service) is looking to recruit a full time Band 8A Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner on a permanent basis to work within our existing Pain, Spinal and Long Covid teams.
You will be a highly skilled APP with a background of working with long-term conditions and proven musculoskeletal skills alongside a passion to engage and motivate others.
You will hold proven pain and musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills.
In addition, you will recognise the importance of working collaboratively within the Multi-Disciplinary team and have proven experience of service development.
Effective, patient centred care is an essential need in the current times and this post offers a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to this patient group.
Working as part of an integrated service alongside colleagues from the acute sector you will work at a Primary care level facilitating specialist treatment of both Long-covid and chronic pain within individual and group environments.
The role may be suitable as a band 7 to 8a development post on completion of relevant competencies.
Consideration may be given to part time if appropriate.
Main duties of the job To provide high quality care in individual and groups sessions to patients who have been referred to the IPASS/BLIS service with Chronic pain, spinal pain or have been diagnosed with long covid.
To work alongside highly skilled practitioners and be supported in gaining a wide range of skills in pain management, long covid and spinal assessment and triage To offer supervision and training to the MSK Physiotherapy team as well as the wider MDT To work collaboratively with members of the MDT including Physiotherapist, Psychologists, Consultants and Occupational Therapist About us Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health and community health services trust.

High level of triage, assessment and clinical reasoning skills 2.

Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled applicants where required Person Specification Education/Qualifications/Training Essential Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy Member of HCPC MSc or formal post-graduate qualification To have undertaken accredited courses which enable work to be performed at APP level Significant Post-Graduate training in the specialist field: high level of skills underpinned by experience Proven record in CPD of relevant area Additional training in Psychological therapies such as CBT and ACT CSP membership Desirable Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations (IRMER) training Post-graduate management/leadership course Membership of relevant Special Interest Group Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Previous Experience Essential Experience of formal and informal teaching to, colleagues in the physiotherapy department, other AHPs and GPs/Registrars.
Demonstrate clinical leadership within the Physiotherapy Department, including direct supervision and training senior staff Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential Expert Knowledge of pathology, assessment, diagnosis and management in the specialist fields of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Pain Understanding relevant National policies and guidelines relevant to the area Evidence of own self development through PDP Evidence of own self development through PDP Evidence of appraising staff Knowledge and evidence of Audit and Research Appropriate IT skills Ability to develop others via CPD/PDP/In-Service training/presentations Excellent written communication skills to ensure information is understood by patients, referrers and other healthcare professionals.
Exceptional time management, prioritisation and organisation skills Additional Requirements Essential Ability to travel between multiple sites
