Job summary We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking, supportive and friendly Paediatric Physiotherapist to be based at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, but working within the Children's Therapy Service.
You will be part of a well led, dynamic and friendly MSE wide team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants, who constantly strive for integrated working - optimising patient care and team morale.
The team works together to achieve both positive patient experience and successful outcomes.
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for Physiotherapy and a desire to actively participate in all aspects of the role.
They will lead the inpatient service at Broomfieldwithin this exciting area of physiotherapy.
The successful candidate must be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate evidence of recent professional learning.

Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the delivery of highly specialist physiotherapy to children within the acute hospital sites of Mid and South Essex NHS Trusts.The role will use highly specialist skills to manage their own complex caseload, as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team without direct supervision to provide evidence-based care.
They will be responsible for providing advanced physiotherapy assessment, advice and interventions to patients with diverse presentations delivering individualised treatment programmes.
Caseloads are wide ranging including respiratory, orthopaedic, developmental, neurological and complex conditions including sickle cell and oncology.You will be responsible for leading the inpatient aspect of the paediatric physiotherapy service at Broomfield and continuously striving to develop the service to meet the changing needs of the local population and hospital, drawing on recommendations and best practice guidelines.

Person Specification Qualifications / experience Essential HCPC registration Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy Masters level or equivalent post graduate qualifications Evidence of post graduate learning relevant to the clinical field Desirable Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Evidence of relevant postgraduate training Member of Paediatric Clinical Interest Groups Skills / knowledge Essential Recognised level of expertise in assessment/treatment within the specialty Use of evidence-based practice Ability to pass on skills/ knowledge to others within formal and informal environments Good knowledge of current issues within the NHS and physiotherapy profession Experience supervising staff, students and assistants Clinical experience within a National Health Service setting or similar health setting.
