Job summary We are looking for a full-time Advanced Health Care Assistant (AHCA) to work in our Ashford Primary CareNetwork, to work with our community nursing teams, who play an important role in supporting patients bycaring for them in the comfort of their own home.
Your role will help the NHS meet the needs of elderly,disabled or vulnerable patients who may not be able to easily visit the GP surgery or hospital.
You will workboth autonomously and collaboratively within a supportive environment, ensuring excellent patient care whilstreassuring and helping families along the will be based at Trinity House, Ashford and will work closely with our GP colleagues and other communityservices.

Main duties of the job Candidate will be expected to have good IT skills, and will require clinical skills, for example phlebotomy,simple wound dressings, bandaging, injection technique, all of which we can support with learning andcompetencies.Successful applicants are required to have the qualification level specified in the person specification in orderto carry out the job, however, we do welcome applicants from individuals wishing to further their knowledgeand skills and to gain this recognised qualification, which we will support.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ/ QCF Diploma or certificate of care / Advanced apprenticeship) or equivalent or working towards Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths) Experience Essential Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Healthcare Assistant/ Worker in a health or social care setting Experience of working as part of a team Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (EPay / E-roster/ AT-P/ CIS) Desirable Experience of community nursing environment Knowledge Essential Awareness of developments in the NHS Knowledge of up to date clinical practice.
