HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates.

Salary: This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £68,680 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (SMS Non Medical Prescriber), your responsibilities will vary.
You will:
Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team. This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including mental health and substance misuse practitioners. Act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times. Support senior clinicians on site as part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients. As a clinical expert in your field, work with the team to ensure patient safety, management of complex cases, and application of the most up-to-date treatment methodology to patient care. Minimum Requirements Registered Nurse Adult, Mental Health with current NMC registration or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC registration Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification MSc in Advanced Practice - Completed Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance and identifying risk to patients. Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
