Advanced Clinical Practitioner / Non Medical PrescriberWe have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner/ Non Medical Prescriber to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category A prison located in Greenwich, Belmarsh.
HMP Belmarsh is a male, maximum security prison that has a capacity for 910 inmates.
Healthcare at HMP Belmarsh includes Dentists, Primary Care, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, and Pharmacy.
Hours: Primarily Mon - Fri 0800 - 1600 for SMS clinics, potentially some lates (1400-2200) for reception cover.
Salary: This position is full-time, and you will receive an annual salary up to £68,680 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the jobAs an Advanced Clinical Practitioner / Non Medical Prescriber, your responsibilities will vary.
You will:
Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team.Work with a multi-disciplinary team made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including mental health and substance misuse practitioners.Act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times.Support senior clinicians on site; you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients.As a clinical expert in your field, work with the team to ensure patient safety, manage complex cases, and apply the most up-to-date treatment methodology to patient care.If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Minimum RequirementsRegistered Nurse Adult, Mental Health with current NMC registration or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC registrationIndependent/supplementary prescriber qualificationMSc in Advanced PracticeExperience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance and identifying risk to patients.Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
