Adoption Social Worker - Carlisle Location: Carlisle, Cumbria Are you an experienced Adoption Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adoption Social Worker to join our team in Carlisle.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous adoption experience to provide essential support and guidance to adoptive families and children, ensuring positive and lasting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive support to prospective and approved adoptive families throughout the adoption process.
Conduct thorough assessments, home visits, and prepare detailed reports for adoption panels.
Facilitate training and support groups for adoptive parents.
Work collaboratively with children services, adoption panels, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Provide ongoing post-adoption support to ensure successful placements and family stability.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements: Previous experience in adoption social work is essential.
Recognised social work qualification (e.g.
BA, MA in Social Work).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Strong understanding of the adoption process, legislation, and best practices.
Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
