Are you driven to ensure that you are achieving the very best that you can?About the RoleWe are looking for a Payroll Control Administrator to join our busy Employee Service Centre (ESC).The ESC is a busy transactional service that forms part of East Midlands Shared Services.
We provide transactional Payroll and HR Administration services to Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council.If variety is what you are looking for then, no two days are the same in the ESC, as there is always something to focus on.
The ESC completes over 40,000 payments each month, produces over 3,000 contractual documents and handles in excess of 2,000 queries each month.
As a Payroll Control Administrator you will work alongside the control team to process payrolls including running bacs files, providing payslips and reporting to internal and external customers.
Payroll Control are also responsible for creating payments to third parties and complete many activities usually found at the end of a payroll cycle which includes reconciliation, submissions to HMRC and much more.This post is currently a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for 12 months.
There is a possibility that this will become a permanent position.For information on our approach to the recruitment of ex-offenders, please see our .About YouTo apply for this post, you must: Have NVQ 2 level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent or relevant experience Have knowledge or experience of using Oracle ERP system or similar HR/Payroll system Have knowledge of working with external customers and understand the importance of customer service Have a good attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality Be competent in the use of ICT systems, including Word, Outlook and ticket management systems.
