In our team in the UK, you will be reporting to the Facilities Manager, and your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage the daily operations of the Harwell office.
You will be a key influencer in ensuring that we create the best place to work for our employees, by building and maintaining an attractive place to work.Office ManagementBe the first point of contact and manage all office related mattersEnsure that office related stock is well maintained at all times (kitchen supplies, office stationery, etc)Review existing and develop new office procedures to promote consistency, quality and good customer serviceCreate and manage office communication boardsSupport and manage the property (Landlord and building) related mattersManage and maintain purchasing and logistics Ensure the office space is well maintained – take pride in creating a great working environment for staff and a presentable space for visitorsHealth and SafetyManage the Health and Safety policies and procedures for London office, incl.
regular staff & visitor communication, new staff safety briefingsWork with the HR Business Partner to ensure clear and consistent delivery of specific H&S initiativesPerform regular safety maintenance reviews of the office environment, review findings with Facilities Manager and complete resulting actionsAct as the Fire Marshall and First Aider for the Harwell office.
Ensure that the business is compliant with the number of first aiders and fire marshalsCo-ordinate evacuation drills with the LandlordMaintain the accident book and first aid boxManage the annual health and safety and fire inspections.
Review and update risk assessment and action findings WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?We are looking for an experienced Office Manager with the below knowledge:Previous experience in an Office Assistant role (managing corporate office)Previous experience of supporting the facilities team in an a corporate, entrepreneurial and fast-paced environmentExperience of establishing processes from ground zeroExperience of making considered judgement calls independentlyExcellent English (spoken and written)Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, in particular MSWord and PowerPointExperience in writing business communicationsExcellent planning & execution skills WHAT DO WE OFFER?
