Main duties of the job Providing administrative support to the Specialist Screening Practitioners to facilitate the patient pathway through the screening service.
Maintaining electronic patient information systems such as Bowel Cancer Screening System (BCSS) , Somerset, Endobase to enable the patient to be progressed through the care pathway effectively.
Assist in the distribution of pathology results to the SSP, ensuring that any abnormal results are flagged accordingly in a timely manner Updating Patient Tracking Systems.
Booking of Interpreter and transport services.
Preparing and maintaining patient medical assessment packs to facilitate the patient pathway through community clinics and colonoscopy appointments.
Ensure all relevant patient documentation, patient information and case notes are prepared in readiness for clinics and clinical sessions.
Book patients to telephone clinics ensuring paper and clinical systems are up to date with accurate patient, appointment and demographic details.
Assist with the process of recalling surveillance patients via the Bowel Cancer Information System.
