Job summary Workingas part of the Devon Adult Autism & ADHD Service the post holder will bepart of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment & treatment to thosediagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The rolerequires working in partnership with service users, carers and other agenciesto meet the holistic needs of individuals experiencing difficulties as a resultof ADHD.This is atemporary post for 15 months working 30 hours per weekDevon Autism & ADHD Service require individualswho are committed to providing evidence based interventions individually and inconjunction with other team members, to those with ADHD, and who are motivatedto be part of this and any future service development.This post is offered at Band 7 subject to Job Evaluation Process Main duties of the job The post holder will be expected to:Provide evidence based clinical interventions/treatments.
Including prescribing to clients assessed as having a diagnosis of ADHD.
Work as an independent non-medical prescriber within the ADHD care pathway, taking responsibility for the clinical assessment of the client, establishing a diagnosis and the clinical management required, including initiating prescribing of Controlled Drugs, and liaising with GPs.
Contribute to a group orientated approach to the delivery of interventions to clients.
Provide managerial and clinical supervision to junior members of the prescribing team as required.
The post holder will update himself/herself with new developments and will be actively involved in education and research in the speciality.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse, or Allied Professional Qualification in independent prescribing IT Skills Desirable Training, qualification, in working with those with ADHD, or willingness to work towards this.
Experience Essential Substantial post-registration experience in Independent Prescribing Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team Working autonomously within a community setting Ability to supervise others Ability to work to meet conflicting deadlines Knowledge of evidence based treatments for ADHD Understanding of users and carers issues relating to ADHD Knowledge of providing specific therapeutic interventions to individuals with ADHD Desirable Experience of working with clients with ADHD
