ADHD Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools, North Manchester Position: ADHD Learning Support Assistant Location: North Manchester Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate About Us: Cover People UK are seeking a dedicated ADHD Teaching Assistant to support students in secondary schools across North Manchester.
This full-time role involves working closely with students who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), helping them thrive academically and socially in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with ADHD, helping them engage positively with the curriculum.
Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet the unique needs of ADHD students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Develop and implement strategies to support focus, organisation, and positive behaviour.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create personalised learning plans for each student.
Promote a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that helps students build confidence and independence.
Requirements: Experience supporting children with SEND in the UK An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one, is mandatory.
Strong understanding of ADHD and experience working with children with ADHD is beneficial.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a patient and compassionate approach.
Previous experience in an educational or support role is preferred.
