Job Title: Additional Learning Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Swansea, Swansea, Swansea Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £83.85 - £85.85 Per day Job Duties: Supporting students with additional learning needs in the classroom Assisting the teacher in creating and implementing individualised education plans Providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment Monitoring and recording student progress Collaborating with other school staff and parents to support student development Required Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience working with children or young people with additional learning needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Welsh language- preferred but not essential Education: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of different learning styles and strategies Ability to adapt and modify support techniques based on individual student needs Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to special educational needs Preferred Qualifications: First Aid certification Mental Health First Aid training Working Conditions: This role involves working in a classroom setting with students who have additional learning needs.
The work may be demanding at times, but it is rewarding to see the progress and development of the students.
The working hours are full-time during school hours.
