We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for an Addictions Consultant to work for a private substance misuse service. This is a part-time role, where you will provide clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations and reviews, of a wide range of substance misuse clients presenting to the service.
Salary: £54,665.60 to £59,000.40

For this role, you will be responsible for: Providing a clinical assessment, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigation, of a wide range of substance misusers presenting to the service. Keeping accurate, appropriate, and up-to-date medical and administrative documentation including computer records. Conducting phlebotomy tests and supporting the nursing team in ensuring that the maximum number of service users are tested for BBVs and vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B. Attending multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate. Participating in continuing professional development, annual appraisal, and revalidation, and joining appropriate supervision and PDP groups for the role. Working in partnership with users and carers to ensure they are fully involved in and empowered to make decisions about their treatment and care. For this role, we're looking for someone who is: Medical Degree and completion of Basic Medical Training and Consultant Psychiatrist on the GMC specialist register with License to Practice. MRCPsych or equivalent qualification. Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and legislation relating to Mental Health. An understanding of the work of other agencies including non-statutory services. Experience of working with substance misuse and mental health issues and a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
