Job summary An opportunity has arisen to join the leadership team East Surrey Hospital as Occupational Therapy Team Lead in Acute Medicine.
The highly motivated and dynamic acute medical team is a well established integrated multidisciplinary team and respected within the hospital.
The Team is committed to providing high quality and effective therapy assessment and treatment to our patients in the acute medical wards.
We are looking for a team lead who is forward thinking, innovative and flexible and has depth of knowledge and experience of Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions with a wide range of medical conditions, elderly care and equipment provision.
You will be responsible for day to day management of the service delivery and manage a complex caseload.
You will have experience in supervising staff and be an accredited practice placement educator.
Main duties of the job This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to engage others, with a proactive approach to service development.
You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to a person centred approach in line with the Trust Values and Behaviours.
As such, the successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, work under pressure and thrive in a fast paced environment.
