Accounts Payable Specialist - 3 months fixed term contract For the European Finance team at Apex Systems, we are looking for an exceptional AP Specialist Role (+2 years prior work experience in accounts payable):
Under general direction from the Finance Senior, this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Accounts Payable function as well as directing staff in processing invoices and payments.

· 3 months fixed term rolling contract Sickness Cover · Immediate vacancy · Hednesford UK Office Based · Mon – Fri 9 – 5.30PM Finance Resource Europe – General Administrator tasks will include: · Logging bank transactions outgoing on a daily basis
· Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

· Reconciling sub ledgers against general ledger and identifying any errors.
Verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

· Communicating with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries
· Attaching the correct documentation to invoices
· Responsible for obtaining the correct approvals for all invoices.

· Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they're coded correctly in the system
· Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
· Dealing with external and internal queries by phone and email
· Preparing and processing supplier payments and ensuring that a senior Finance Manager has signed all payments off
· Ensuring that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures
· Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items
· Reconcile Accounts Payable for all Europe entities on a month close basis.

· Ensuring that invoices are correctly logged with multicurrency.

Required Skills and experience: Bachelor or Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred +2 years of prior relevant working experience in an accounts payable or accounting environment Ability to work independently and as a team player Excellent customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Effective communication skills – verbal and written Functional proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically excel Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills Strong problem solving skills Multi-Currency experience Location : Office Based
