Overview We currently have an an opportunity for a Portuguese Speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Latin American (LATAM) Accounting team in Glasgow.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the LATAM Accounts Payable Manager on the Global Systems implementation project as our business presence grows across the region.
You will support with LATAM AP implementations, compensating controls review, and post-implementation support of accounts payable processes/procedures in local LATAM offices.
How you'll make an impact Reviewing all information gathered from Compensating Controls with the Implementation team to define any new requirements Confirming monthly invoices are compliant with documented procedures Oversee the compliance validations of current and new vendors Support new vendor & payment processes Reviewing current documentation and processes Review process improvement opportunities Support Authorisation process Support with implementation of new AP tools Work with regional teams, Tax, and Accounting on any new changes to Country level regulations or reporting Interact with many other functions Local Teams, IT/GTS, Accounting Teams, Treasury, Compliance & Tax Ad-hoc duties as allocated by the Accounts Payable Manager.
About You Fluency in Portuguese & English Previous experience gained within in fast paced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable function Competent IT skills including Microsoft Excel Ability to prioritise workload and plan ahead Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities Experience of operating to deadlines Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive Ability to adapt to change Eligible to work in the UK Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
