An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our growing finance department, to support the business as it continues to grow with our current client base and as it enters new industries.
The Finance team support all areas within the business, and it is essential that we have a high accurate level of working, providing correct and timely information.
We have multiple trading divisions and companies within the group, who have their own individual requirements and need finance support.
The role is hybrid with 3 days a week required in the Milton Keynes office.
The key responsibilities for this role, include working on the Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and cashbook postings.
Sales Ledger •Onboarding of clients onto the Finance system •Issuing of weekly client invoices, with correct back up documentation •Allocating of cash receipts •Posting of invoices to the correct company sales ledger •Cover for Credit Controller when on leave Purchase Ledger •Onboarding of suppliers onto the Finance system •Processing high volume of invoices to correct trading company •Bank Account checks in line with company process •Supplier statement reconciliation •Process weekly payment Runs on all trading companies, with various payment terms •Support suppliers with factoring arrangements •Processing of overhead invoices, ensuring they are approved in line with the correct authorisation process.
•Work with other departments in supporting queries with suppliers Cashbook •Ensuring all receipts are posted and allocated to the correct accounts daily •All manual payments are posted with correct dates •Bank Reconciliations of multiple bank accounts on a weekly basis Other •Communicate with clients and suppliers via emails and telephone calls •Support the Head of Finance, with ad hoc tasks The successful candidate would have already gained basic accounting knowledge and is now looking to take the next step in their career.
This role will give exposure in all transacting accounting areas, across various companies and platforms.
TEAM The trading Finance team are currently made up of 2 Finance Officers, 1 Management Accountant and a Payroll team.
We are a small team, who work closely with various departments within the business and can be involved in lots of different projects and tasks, which don't always fall under our job descriptions.
Salary: £27-29K depending on experience.
About you: •Excellent systems skills and a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft products •Knowledge of MS Dynamics would be advantageous though not essential as full training will be given •A team player who has a "can do" attitude and can communicate at all levels within the organisation.
