Our professional client is looking for an Account Assistant to join their team in Guildford.
This office-based role involves processing client-related transactions promptly and ensuring the company complies with regulations regarding the handling of client funds.

* Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register to ensure all assets are properly accounted for.
* Assisting with the preparation and posting of month-end journals.
* Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
* Assisting with WIP and debt reviews to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
* Providing assistance during the annual audit process by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors.
* Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and employee expenses.
* Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
* Managing supplier payment runs and handling ad-hoc payments as required.
* Responding to and resolving internal and external finance-related queries in a timely manner.
Experience and Skills Requirements * Must have 1-2 years' experience of working in an accounts department * Fast learner who adapts easily.
* Strong communication skills.
* Flexible attitude * Exceptional attention to detail.
* Effective team player.
* Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Demonstrates professionalism.
