Accounts Assistant

Details of the offer

We are seeking a proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting the wider finance team with essential tasks.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for numbers, we want to hear from you!
What We expect of you: You will take ownership of key financial responsibilities, including managing accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices, payments, and expenses, ensuring accurate coding and posting in the COINS system, and reconciling supplier statements to resolve discrepancies.

Your role will also involve maintaining and updating financial records in COINS, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and producing ad hoc financial reports when required.
Communication will be a vital part of your responsibilities, as you respond to queries from stakeholders, liaise with suppliers to address payment issues, and collaborate with project teams on financial matters.
You will bring proven experience in an accounting support role, ideally within the construction, utilities, or civil engineering sectors, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is essential, as are excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge of industry-specific financial processes, such as project cost tracking, and experience using COINS software or other ERP systems for financial management.
