Role and Responsibilities: As an Accounts and Audit Senior, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's accounting and audit functions.
Your primary responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation of year-end financial statements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Conducting audits in accordance with relevant regulations, including planning, fieldwork, and finalization stages.
Assisting with the completion of audit assignments, including preparing audit files, identifying and documenting risks, and testing controls.
Liaising with clients to gather necessary information, resolve queries, and provide expert advice on financial matters.
Assisting senior team members with ad-hoc assignments and special projects as required.
Requirements: To excel in this role, you will need: A solid background in accountancy, with experience in accounts preparation and auditing.
Ideally, you will have obtained or be working towards a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including FRS 102 and IFRS.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
The ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in accounting software, including Microsoft Excel and accounting packages (e.g., Xero, Sage).
